I came across an article the other day that said there are biological reasons for either liking it or hating it. Some people actually taste something differently to others. It isn't that they just think it tastes like soap, they actually are tasting it like soap.

yea, my husband and my eldest daughter are like that. And usually those people don't do spinach either, they taste the same thing. So, strangely, my daughter likes raw spinach, but not cooked... and my husband will eat it either way.

Never tried gator some since lived up here in PA my whole life but hubby is an adventurer when it comes to food. He loves frog legs and eats them at the Chinese restaurant that we go too. They're ok but not my choice lol. He also eats deep fried squid rings, YUCK! Sushi, clams, and oysters are a no go. I watched a friend try one once and it looked and sounded like she was slurping a booger off a little tray, um, no thanks! We tried cow tongue once. Hubby loves it. Me, no thank you lol. I'm more adventurous when it comes to veggies. Rattatouille, cabbage soup, and split pea soup...yum
It all sounds good to me!
