They get bigger. They had a mounted dead one on display that some guys had killed. It had been chewing on their sleeping buddy's face. He hadn't put up his mosquito netting correctly. Anyway it was about 8-10 inches across from leg tip to leg tip.
Any insect that thinks I'm food can eat a can of Raid (if I thought it would work)

We are NOT pleased to hear that brown recluse spiders are moving north, into southern Michigan. Also Lone Star ticks. YUCK!!! Mary

They were an issue by water areas...we thought they were "water spiders" at first...nope brown recluse. At least you can SEE a Lone Star Tick....we have the deer ticks in abundance here. Everyone I know has Lyme's. You even get tested now for it for jobs that require pre employment bloodwork.

Yes, we also have deer ticks, and brown dog ticks, and all those fun tick-borne diseases. Life is never dull! I draw a big line in the sand, though before wanting to meet those huge camel spiders!!! Mary

Wife's brother was put on his knees in the gravel driveway while the parents took the bleeding one to the doctor. You wanna guess how long he was in the driveway??? And if you think you are gonna get it now, don't even think about standing up. They could get back anytime.
