It's been real busy here today, but it finally dawned on me that everyone was super quiet. I knew there was NO WAY you folks were "quiet".Join the club!

My Daughters started cutting up stuff and handling knives at a very young age. They are all three very good cooks and bakers. This is why the hubby cooks and not me....I would knife myself trying to do that (but I am impressed with that video!). I had a very prissy mother....would never let me in the kitchen. I'm lucky if I don't set boiled water on fire. Yes....I'm the gal who will stick metal in the microwave and then realize "oops"...after it's sparking and on fire.
I use this now to kill before processing:I had made a cone out of one of those orange cones they use to block streets. The city left it in front of my house after some minor street work. After no one came to pick it up, I cut the narrow end to the size I wanted. Didn't cost me a penny, just a few min. of work.
I just use a boning knife that came with the set I bought after the storm. Always sharpen the knife I am going to use, makes things so much easier. Taught this to my daughter as well, you are actually less likely to cut yourself with a sharp knife than with a dull one. But I am interested in the glove!
Good pots and good knifes are a must in a kitchen.
I'm cheap.. I buy clothes at my dirt cheap thrift store but I will spend 300 on one pot in a heartbeat.

They have skills that are becoming rare in our modern age
We can get some nice pots and pans at the Grocery Outlet here. I look each week when I go shopping and often find good deals. The last one was an aluminium ceramic 12 inch fry pan.ahhh heck a entire set of good caphelon cookware bought at 2 hand stores
I would like to invest in a good processor type thing..I'm not a fan of too many gadgets but that is one I need to get.
Although I would probably only use it once or twice a year.
Still thinking about you Miss @theuglyduckling
