So sad about the kraut. I'm in the minority around here but I love fresh kielbasa cooked up with home made Kraut and Irish potatoes.

I also make a killer Papakash and spatzle recipe.

I'm getting hungry again! LOL

Here's a big question... Your Kielbasa... Smoked or fresh? LOL I've always only had it fresh, and I remember my first MiL trying to feed me 'BBQ Kielbasa' cause I'm Polish... and it was with Hilshire farms sausage. :sick There's a butcher near my home that does fresh and smoked kielbasa that is as good as the stuff Dad used to get from Baltimore.

My grandmother and mother boiled peirogis and they were horrible! Hubby pan fries them with either onion or kraut....:love

:sick:sick:sick Gotta be "Real" Kielbasa and fresh goes in the kraut... I'll occasionally add a little smoked "real" kielbasa to the kraut. I really want to learn to make it... Can't figure out the spices and the polish deli won't tell me:barnie
