He pulls this crap every couple of years. I think he likes to poke the bruise, and he's mad he doesn't have control anymore... and he can't 'take his ball and go home' cause I have the ball. (so to speak) Most of the time he rears his ugly head and says a lot of things, and then doesn't actually do anything. I'm getting to the point where I would love for him to try... cause the kids don't want to see him. Don't want to have anything to do with him.

It's kind of like a terrorist tactic. Some catalyst get's him wound up and then he rears his ugly head, makes all kinds of threats and then when the catalyst fades, so does he. Always be prepared, document, document, record and document--but don't let him get to you as that is his goal

Oh my... Sounds like someone needs to get hung from a post by his thumbs.Oh, its totally his goal. Thing is, this time around, he was mostly polite to me, via text. With my eldest (his daughter from his first marriage) he was berating her, being rude, almost yelling at her for telling him to go through the letter of the divorce decree. He sounds like (via screenshots of her convo) that he's mad at her for not whole heartedly running to him now that she's an adult. She wants little to nothing to do with him, as the last time he spoke to her (she was 13) he made her cry and told her she wouldn't amount to anything because she lived with me. Hell of a Effing father there....
