yep, we know the drill... But, yes we have a gas stove (electric oven) and our heat is electric. We've never used it. Fortunately, we have two pellet stoves we run all winter, but they need electric to work. We do have a generator, which we've plugged in the fridge to for several hours last night. We can do the same with the pellet stoves tonight. Its supposed to drop down to 33. That is, if we don't get power back. As to when it does... We don't know. On our outage map, I don't know where we fall either... our mailing address is in one town (which we own about a quarter acre of) and our house is in another town. The first town is at 90% without power, and the second is at 20% without. Either way, no power at the house the last time I called.
If you need to, you can boil water on the stove and it will help heat the house.

I also saw some video where they used a tealight and a terracotta pot, like an oven... ? Idk. But, we should be able to get the heat up with the generator and the pellet stove, and then shut everything down. Luckily the house holds heat really well.

@rjohns39 ok finally caught up! No, nothing about sheep but I CAN definitely help out @theuglyduckling with stuff. I LOVE the idea of making online purchases through Walmart with local PR pickup.

@theuglyduckling what Walmart is close to you that you can pick up from? And, again, we will need a name for shipping/pick up purposes.

Edit to Add: Amazon packages have been getting through to people as well.
