If you need to, you can boil water on the stove and it will help heat the house.yep, we know the drill... But, yes we have a gas stove (electric oven) and our heat is electric. We've never used it. Fortunately, we have two pellet stoves we run all winter, but they need electric to work. We do have a generator, which we've plugged in the fridge to for several hours last night. We can do the same with the pellet stoves tonight. Its supposed to drop down to 33. That is, if we don't get power back. As to when it does... We don't know. On our outage map, I don't know where we fall either... our mailing address is in one town (which we own about a quarter acre of) and our house is in another town. The first town is at 90% without power, and the second is at 20% without. Either way, no power at the house the last time I called.
