Heard from cousin north of Baton Rouge, all is wet, but fine. No power. Uncle near Mobile got 7" rain outside the house. "Outside" is the important part here.

One of the huge electrical towers decided to go for a swim in the Mississippi, so power restoration will take some time. This is better than the Mississippi decided to climb the tower.

I snuck out to check on DD. No flooding, She is Okay but no Power, cable, cell,internet Etc.

Hey y'all! No power here, but no major damage, just small limbs and leaves everywhere making a huge mess.

Unfortunately, my incubator insulation did not work for some reason. Temps got down to 77 F inside and the eggs are cold. My brother's house is supposed to get power soon, so I'll take the incubator over there in a last ditch.

Friends in Hammond said there's major damage to the airport.

We also have a friend in NOLA who is out of town for the next week. He left his dog in the care of a neighbor and now she's panicking and is likely going to leave and abandon this dog. We're begging the lady to drop off the dog at our house in BR.
