Hurricane Preparation

Yes to a point they do, but this particular storm if it stays on track is going to hit an unusually warm dead zone the temperature for the mentioned zone last I heard was 87 degrees Fahrenheit. The temp was taken towards the middle of the water column and hence is used as median data. I'm hoping it stays away from the hotspot.
All big hurricanes do that.

Tyler, Rent a large van, Uhal or something, grab your family, pets, pictures, and EVERTHING else that is life to you, and run.Run, A Cat 4-5 ismgoinging to KILL!

Lol don't be afraid. Here in Florida, hurricanes are just an inconvenience. We simply don't flood like Houston and New Orleans. Im not gonna pack my bags and leave just because of another hurricane that is probably not even going to directly hit us! Lol I'm not angry, but just know that we are used to this kind of thing.

TLYER HOPE UR RITE Barbados is 90% destroyed # ded so far hasn't hit Puerto rico yet aiming for Miami & Orlando winds 185 m/h tornado cat 1 strength. u sure u don't want to run better safe than --- GBA

I am in Western Pennsylvania which is way too far to help but you need to run. you need to go . this thing is worse than Andrew. it's going to smash stuff flat . it's not like other hurricanes.
stormcarib said Irma is German for war goddess.
Check the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc centers in Augusta and Atlanta .maybe they have room. wherever you end up ,check the local Fairgrounds. they probably are opening up for animal rescue .that would be a good place to keep your chickens.
