I am just SO mad!

WOW...

First of all make sure you notify the police AND animal control. Take pics of your arm and your bunny and your yard where it all happened (pretend you are on CSI LOL)

You NEED to cover all your basis so that if anything happens to 'their precious cat' you have evidence to defend yourself.

You need to get this annoyance with the 'cat' comming over straightened out...if not the same 'karma' will get the cat hit by a car and the neighbors will suspect you and you will become a criminal again.

The only way to get this to stop is to put an end to it. Explain to them what their cat is doing and that you want to be CIVILIZED about it but if it does not cease then you will have no chioce but to call the animal control officer.

If you are at risk of your pets being hunted by this thing you have got to do something.

I am a vet assistant and got bit by a persons cat. I flushed the wound out with every sort of hospital grade antiseptic (surgical scrub!)....10 minutes later I had a red streak running up my arm- BLOOD POISONING!!!!- I had to go to the ER and have intravenous antibiotics given to me...cathiter was left in so I could return the next day and have another round.... Cat scratches/bites are serious...

Get a tetnis shot and bill your neighbor!

ps....as nasty as this scrappy cat seems I would worry about it biting your kids if they get too close.....

SICK YOUR ROOSTER ON IT!!! if you don't have one BORROW ONE!!!

LOL

THAT MY FRIENDS IS WHY YOU SHOULD KEEP A MEAN ROO!!!

(((everyone is always asking what good roos are.... ha ha ha))))

Thanks guys for all the info!
Im going to call my friend who works at the vet tomorrow after talking with animal control.
Before I put Elvis away for the night I looked him over and found serveral punture wounds and one spot where the skin on him is peeled off. My poor sweet boy

I dont want to say anything to the neighbors about it cause I dont want to give them time to catch it and get rid of it. They will probly deny its theirs anyways...

That is very bad advice, just because 2 people got lucky and scratches didnt get infected DOES NOT mean someone elses wont.
Ugh I cant even believe someone would even suggest blowing off a cat scratch when they have no clue if the animal has had any shots.

Edited to add a few things and change a couple.

Okay, definite then - he needs to be started on antibiotics pronto. Today would have been best. Infection will set in fast - hopefully if you can get him on treatment early tomorrow he will be able to beat back infection.
Bunnies can also easily succumb to shock - hopefully he is past that at this point.

I think so. I let him be for a good while. While I was cleaning the kitchen and on the floor putting ice cubes in the ice chest he hopped over and seemed like normal little Elvis. He didnt fear my dogs anymore than usual.
Hes the greatest bunny

I hope hes going to be ok!

I know! Im calling animal control first thing when they open and having them come out here to make sure they are claiming the cat.
If they say they dont own the thing Im going to be SO mad! SO MAD! Like fire hot mad!

I tried taking pictures of it sitting on their porch after all this but they live to far and you cant make out anything..

Well if they say they don't own the cat and you can't prove that they do maybe you can have animal control take it with them. After all if it doesn't have an owner then it is just a stray and they shouldn't have a problem taking it. Then that's one less cat around attacking your pets.

Is the neighbor's cat hungry or something? To have a cat attack you like that is just, WOW!

Take care of yourself, and do be sure the cat has been vaccinated. Best wishes for little Elvis too.
