Wow! An easy, cheap way to make an air conditioner for my chicken coop! It's made out of an ice chest, a piece of PVC and a small fan. Looks like it works great! I do have power to my coop, so I can just plug the fan in. I imagine you could use a solar panel like the guy who made it, or maybe could plug it into an RV battery.

We've been over 90 degrees every day for almost 2 weeks now. The coop is hot, even at night. This little contraption is a great idea! Thought I'd share it.

Another instant more basic one( I used for myself )
Is fill a plastic bottle with water, freeze it, then stand it I front of a fan
Good in small area, better than nothing

It helped me when my M.E, was bad and my heat intolerance was awful
Expecting hot weather in the UK today( a rare event)

Realize that this will raise the humidity enormously....which always makes the heat feel worse.

A real air conditioner works by removing the moisture from the air, which makes it feel cooler.

If you live in a very dry climate, it might work great for you.

I wonder if it would work better, by not adding any moisture to the air, if you kept the ice in a bag?

I would stack those plastic ice bricks meant for coolers to make sort of a comblike shape and blow the air through it. Then just keep changing the ice bricks when necessary. The more cold surface you get the air to travel through, the colder it will get.
