I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE TO GET AMERAUCANAS????

I have searched the internet high and low and have no hope on finding 1 day old ameraucana chicks (for a reasonable price?)

Me on the outside = Me on the inside =

All I want is a baby ameraucana chicks; and a black copper maran and a lavender orpington and a few silkies and a cochin and a gold wyandotte and a silver laved polish; but I could find those.

Please?!

I just knew of Cackles because I'm getting some in the spring.

Ooh, let us know how they turn out. I might be willing to spend more myself for the real thing if I know they aren't just so-so EEs that happened to be the right color

I know your pain. I opted for the 'barnyard mix'....wasn't willing to pay $15 per straight run chick to a breeder... not to offend any breeders...

I guess I didn't want to have them shipped either so that definitely narrows down the field.

You could try the ameraucana breeders club and look up the directory it’s available online. Maybe you can find a local breeder in your area. Ameraucana chicks run at least $20 apiece though just an FYI.

Do you specifically want true Ameraucanas? (come in specific colors, meet specific standards for appearance, lay blue eggs)

Or would you be happy with a bird that lays blue or green colored eggs but you might not know in advance what it will look like? Because lots of hatchery sell Easter Eggers (usually lay blue or green eggs) for more reasonable prices. They call them by many different names, which might not show up if you were searching for "Ameraucanas."

(I'm not trying to tell you what kind to get, just trying to understand what you want. Chicken names can get confusing sometimes.)
