I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE--NEW Fuzz Butt PICS - (((INTERVENTION PICS)))

Man...Definately need patience for this LOL. Still just the 4 pips. 1 is getting a larger hole but still can't see too much. I am heading to bed (hoping to get some sleep). Maybe there will be a big change by morning. I will definately be updating with pics once they hatch.

lol
I woke up a few times and checked the eggs and not too much change. Still 4 pips slightly larger cracks but still very small. # of the 4 not even holes yet. The one that is broken through I can see a tiny beak poke in and out on occassions. But the hole is still smaller than a dime. We are not at day 21 for another 11 hours so I know its early, but does it usually take this long once they have started to pip. I am really concerned that something is wrong with them.

How do you know if you need to up humidity? My hydrom. is reading between 62 and 67% I just hope it is accurate. There is NO condensation on the window.

One more question. How is a chick usually positioned in the egg. The one with the larger pip appears that his head is upside down, I mean when he sticks his oh wait I mean HER HER HER head out the little hole the top beak is below the bottom beak. darn I hope that made sense LOL I tried to take a pic but its too small to cget clear pic tho the window and I dont want to open the bator unless I absolutely need to.

I did notice on one of the areas where the tiny shell pieces are falling off, there is a tiny bit of blood on the membrane. not heavy at all but can see red. Does that mean the chick is still absorbing and maybe poked out just for a bit of fresh air not really intending to make HER debue until day 21?

HMMMMMMMMM I know you all warned me about the waiting game but this is CRAZY!!!!!!!!

LOL Thanks for listening.

If you see blood it is stll transitioning. Don't get the humidity too high. You don't want condensation. Too much and the eggs sweat and they can drown before they get out of the shell. What you have is fine at 67% right now.

Whistle and talk to the eggs. Seriously. This will encourage them to keep chipping away at the shell. They will also sleep and rest while the try to zip on out.

Good luck!!

That must be so stressful to have such waiting. I was so lucky with my hatch last week.....each egg was about 2 hours to hatch. When you have to wait, all you can do is wonder if you should be doing something to help. I feel sorry for you to have to wait. I hope they all dont take their time like that. Good luck

Thanks for the help and words of encouragement. I have a new egg that started to pip. This one has piped a bit higher up on the egg than all theothers have. I hope that means It will go faster LOL.

going to go make a cup of tea.

it is going to be fine. Keep the humidity up and the hands off. LOL

The blood just shows you that the chick has not completely transitioned from the egg membrane to it's lungs and the yolk is still absrobing.
