I agree with you on some things. First of all, the President, who ever it is, does not have the power to create laws.
Second, yes we do need laws.
I guess where we will have to agree to disagree is that I feel the majority of the laws should come at the state level. There was a time in this country that the Senators were appointed by the States to represent the states (they were not elected) and congress was elected to represent the people. The laws should also not be redundant.
Third, I don't trust all businesses either, but if I disapprove of a business, I can stop doing business there. If I stop doing business with the government (paying taxes), well, they can put me in jail.
I don't blame the government for most things, I blame people. What happened to personal accountability.
I do want to thank you for your service to this great country of ours. Thanks to you and others in the service, we can have this conversation, and that is the most beautiful thing in the world.
editing to add, I don't even sell food, but this bill would still affect me because it will affect small farmers which will eventually affect all food that I buy
