Bwahaha! Yup. How something so small and demanding can take over ... well, kinda sounds like my kids! They weren't planned either!

Thanks all! I see I'm in good company here and trying to absorb the info like a bubble bath - dive in head first!
Ha Ha.Too funny. Those blue [and green] eggs will get you every time.Welcome to BYC!I ran her out of the back yard 3 times and she kept sneakin' back eating my garden. The 4th day I found a pretty blue egg and told her she could stay! I do believe I've been adopted and brainwashed by that little feathery devil - 6 more chicks have found their home here via the feed store. Walked in looking for feed and walked out with a box o'chicks. How do they do that?!
Hi guys - coming out to thank you all for the guidance I gleaned from BYC. You helped keep Chicka alive and thriving, showed me how to build a brooder and coop and I blame you along with Chicka for turning me into a fool for chickens!
I'm hoping to be able to pay it forward some time and help along others who get drafted into chicken servitude![]()
