We just got our first baby chick hatched by a hen yesterday! Now I know how all those ladies in the grocery store feel when they insist on showing me pics of their grandkids!

I am so excited!

Then today I was walking through the bard yard and I heard cheeping. I had been "missing" 3 hens...
HERES the ?. She has 1 hatched and sitting on a ton more in high grass/scrap metal pile. Should I get her to a nice cage with all the amenities so she can care for both live and eggs?
PLEASE HELP!

Wait until she has finished hatching the eggs because moving her could cause her to just quit the nest. When she is done she will leave the nest and and tend to her chicks. Then you can move her to a safe place and make sure there is plenty of chick feed and water. The chick feed will be really good for her too.

Congrats!
