I feel like crap-I just killed a embryo, I feel so stupid.

I'm so sorry for you. You can't help but feel bad, but know that you're not alone.

I was scared out of my mind in the spring. I wanted chickens so badly, but I was afraid to because I thought I'd make a mistake. A sweet friend said..."the only way you'll learn is by doing. You're going to make mistakes. That's how we all learn. But if you REALLY want chickens, you're going to have to just get out there and do it."

Have I made mistakes? Too many to count.

Have I learned from them? You bet.

Is it worth it?? Totally.

Life is one great big adventure after another. LIVE.

Well, for someone like myself who just joined and hasn't hatched yet, this is a very valuable lesson. In other words you are teaching others by sharing your unpleasant experience. I'm sure I'd feel bad too if I happened to me, but thanks to you I'll know better now. Please give your self a pat on the back, as this is how we learn. Mistakes help us perfect our skills. When I have my first mishap, I'll be sure to post it. So thank you!

Welcome to the "WAS" club (we all suck)! I bet there is not one person on here that can HONESTLY say they have not done something that hindsight was just plain dumb! I have more than my fair share. I was candling eggs one day and dropped one AFTER I found out it was good! It cracked on the bottom side but did not penetrate the membrane. I left it in for good measure but it died anyway and I felt horrible. I felt like a murderer. Anyway, just wanted to let you know you are not alone in your feeling bad. We all have been there.
