My daughter pretends to hate all my birds but today she informed me that she named all my newly hatched chochins after the "What's Happening" gang on that 1970's TV show.

She's a closet chicken lover.

how funny is that! we love that show. brings back memories from when i was a kid.

all my kids are pretty cute, if i do say so myself!

Congratulations!!!! When our chickens layed the very first egg I thought I was seeing things lol. My husband was so excited I thought he was going to have it bronzed lol!

thanks everyone also for the compliments on my kids and the egg...

we have three terrific kids. one asked me today if she could get up early when school starts (they get on the bus at 6:30 am!

) and take care of the chickens...we'll see how long that lasts, but at least they are willing!

maybe if my hens do their thing, i'll need the help!
