that boy is a handsome guy, but see that twinkle in hi eye? oh yeah, getting into mischief.

a few minutes ago he just asked his sister if he she wanted to wrestle. she said no. so he asked if the dog would want to...

love that boy!

(this is the same boy, when in time out jumps on the bed and sings johnny cash...)

he is quite sweet and thoughtful, just go that little bit of outlaw in 'em.

AAAAGHHHH! found the second one, freshly laid, nice and warm,when i took some strawberry hulls and peach pits out to the flock!!!

it was huge too! i suspect that it is Cumin...she was laughing and chucking like mad when i came into the coop and didn't come out for treats!! GO CUMIN!
(uh, i need help identifying what kind of chicken she is...i don't have all the breeds down..will post pic later...)

my Sunday breakfast is shaping up quickly...

DH & I also are just getting our 1st batch off eggs from our new hens. Like you I believe it is the same hen laying, we have gotten 4 eggs in 5 days so looking forward to our 1st homegrown omlet

That is a nice size egg for a first egg.

The kidlets are all lookers.

I still look forward to "first" eggs. I have some Delaware, Welsummer and Marans pullets that I can't wait to get "first" eggs from. Got 2-3 more months to wait though.

I still have a first egg from our first chickens, it is about the size of my little finger nail.
