Raising both chickens and ducks, sometimes they get their eggs mixed up. One time a chicken laid an egg in a duck's nest and whereas chick eggs hatch sooner I found a baby chick with the duck. Not wanting to fool with the baby chick at that time, I planned to wait until the ducks hatched. When that happened, I couldn't find the baby ducks or baby chicken or momma duck. Then i ran out to the pond and saw momma duck, six baby ducks, and the baby chicken in the pond paddling around. Instead getting my video camera I got the dip net and spent a half an hour chasing them around the pond until I finally caught the baby chicken. They all lived happily after..
