I had a great experience with them - they truly do bend over backwards for their customers. April was pretty late to order, this year, if you wanted anything rare. What gets me is that when folks place orders, they don't realize that these are live birds, and especially if you are ordering rare varieties that the hatchery only has a small flock of, they can't just pull the chicks out of their hat! Why hate a hatchery when you are the one agreeing to wait? They REALLY went the second mile for you if they reshipped the order - I have ordered from prettymuch everyone over the years and they will not reship in most cases if the PO messes up and they have limited stock available. They usually just credit you, this time of year. And in all my years of ordering , no hatchery has ever put tracking numbers on the parcels until recently - the ones that do often have large suburbanite/greenhorn customer bases and do it for their peace of mind. We old timers know that once it hits the Post Office now a days, you better just start hoping for the best. (BTW, USPS tracking numbers are a joke, that's why most hatcheries STILL don't use them- just a waste of money.)
But in this case, sounds like the hatchery was the hero, Postal system was the bad guy, and the customer is caught in between.
What kind of birds did you order? Had to be something rare, (and worth it,) because they had all of the common stuff going out each week. (i got a lot of stuff from them this year.)
