I hate our coop color! :(

I'm sorry, I missed this original question on the exterior feeder. Yes, it is one. It holds a lot of food! I don't know what you mean by "how" though? I have no idea how DH built it, I only get to enjoy it..ha..ha?! He also built a great poop-board in the coop, and when he gets the waterer in there (w/ nipples and PVC pipe), it will really be low maintenace!

I'm so grateful for my "handy" husband! AND the motivaton that he had to built my babies a nice coop-castle!

While reading through all the posts I'm thinking........How bad can it be? Now that I see the before and after pics I have the answer. Thank goodness you painted it!!! It looks SO much better and now I bet you're saying it was worth the time, money and effort to re do it! I have an idea....since your pictures are in your computer do you have a paint program or Photo Shop? See if you can change the color of the trim to dark brown in picture first. Then you'd have an idea if you wanted to repaint the trim. Personally I think it looks great now and wouldn't even be tempted to put in more effort, but ....

I have thought about doing the computer-thing, but I'm not familiar enough with a program to try it. I am really leaning toward leaving it...and your comment made me concrete it a bit more

THANKS!

I can see the draw to have painted the blue that you choose. My home is a shade of light blue that looks great but the shade is what is critical.
I am a commercial Printer. I deal with colors of ink on paper every day and I can tell you it is a science picking pleasing colors.
The final color you have painted is, in my opinion, BEAUTIFUL. I wouldn't change a thing now. Well done! And congratulations for having the courage to experiment and not stop until YOU are happy.

Thank you so much, and I don't know if I've commented before but the color of your coop is stunning! I would have loved mine to turn out like that the first time! I wouldn't have re-painted if it had!

At Home Depot they have paint there that people didn't use for like 3 bucks a gallon. I might just repaint it because if it is pretty it would make you happier.

My coop looks like a miny barn and is painted white and barn red. You could try that?
