I have a 5 week old Silver Laced Wyandotte who has small red wattles and orange comb, but her feathers look like a hen, is she a hen or a rooster?

Ok, sorry I couldn’t get her wattles. There small and she keeps looking away like she is trying to avoid the camera.

Yay! Thanks, I’m excited, does the tail have anything to do with it. I find it shaped weird, I never had this breed before so I’m clueless

You can't generally tell by the tail. Hens can have big ones, roos can have small ones and vice versa. It's the hackles and saddles that'll let you know, so wait until they've grown in (hard though it is!) before deciding.

Maybe, but we have a roo and we’re not looking for one... I wanted her because I like the patterns when they are hens. The roosters is pretty too but I like the hens better, and we sell eggs.
