Nice color! I hope that deterred him from coming on to your property again. We had neighbors dogs come into our yard chasing our hens. They were 2 mini pinchers and two Taco Bell chihuahuas that constantly bark at anything. They are louder than my rooster crowing. I wouldn't put it pass them, if they can kill a chicken. My husband stapled metal wire on the bottom of our privacy fence to keep them out. Now that our rooster is an adult, I wonder if he'll protect his ladies or my husband can/will use his air BB gun. Our neighbors were warned awhile back.

I have already warned my neighbors when I caught their dog trying to dig under. I told him that I value my birds much more than I value his dog. His dog is now wearing an "invisible fence" collar.

Just re-posting what I have heard on other posts, that it can be constued as animal cruelty to shoot one with a paint gun, or to spray paint one, but not cruel to shoot it dead, gone. Go figure, but take into consideration when you plan your next move.
