I could swear I heard a grinding noise coming out of her the other day like the egg was rubbing against bone so I was very surprised when she didn't lay for two days. I'm relieved we got another one today.

Lol if I had other female ducks I would have been doing that for sure. I'm glad to hear that I am not crazy and that I was actually hearing the egg roll around inside of her

I prefer scrambled eggs. I add milk to mine and cook them with butter. To me they taste no different than a chicken egg. But I’ve never ate them sunny side up or anything. Baking you definitely can’t tell a difference.

Positively LOVE this thread. Having been reading non stop on this snow day in Louisville, KY. When I had my first set of ducks years ago, we would collect the eggs. I never could bring myself to eat them tho for some reason.
