I let my hens out of their coop the other day, and I forgot my rooster was out....My question is how many times does a rooster have to mate with a hen before she lays the chick eggs? I really hope one of them is going lay the eggs!!!

My hens are one and a half years old.. my rooster is 11 months old and he crows

I will send a picture tomorrow, that was not an up to date picture of him, that´s when we thought he was a hen at first.
