for you!

Not that you shouldn't be concerned, but it could be that she's so sleepy just because her body needs time to heal, now that it's got a little real nourishment in it. Who knows how long she was in the condition she was when you found her; it could be she hadn't eaten anything much--or anything nourishing--in a long time.

Did you say if you'd wormed her or not? Poor thing. She's so lucky your daughter happened to see her when she did. I would say keeping her in a warm, quiet, safe place is tops on the list--and you're doing that. As to what antibiotic to put her on (and if you should), I hope someone else has advice, because I just don't know.

You can give her probios every day. It won't hurt her and as sick as she is it may take a few days for the bugs in her digestive tract to stablize where they need to be. Not sure where else to go from here either. I guess, though, that antibotics would be the next step I would consider, too.

More bad news I'm afraid...Her breathing is very labored and she is kind of laying on one side. She also seems to be having a hard time holding her head up, and just lies there with her beak resting on the towel. She wont even keep her eyes open for more than a second or two at a time.

We arent at all sure that she will make it through the day.
