I just told my daughter to steal a sick rooster!!! Pic Heavy!!!

Oh my goodness, I'm so, so sorry. I admire you so much for the love and care you gave her. I'm sure she was grateful for every single thing you did for her. She knew she was cared for. By all of us.

So sorry, jeaucamom. I know it's sad, but at least she died in your arms, with people who care then in that awful cage.

At least she had someone there with her, she would have died a long time ago in that cage if it weren't for you. You made her last days probably the best days of her enitre life! Poor thing, Butterscotch still needs you so stay strong!!

You are a hero.

You took one of God's creatures who had been mistreated and discarded to the point that she was beyond recovery and filled her last hours with love and compassion. What a wonderful and unselfish thing you have done.

You will have a special place in heaven for this.

Oh how I was rooting for her. I'm so sad and so sorry. I'm grateful that she finally felt what love feels like and only wish the universe could have been more kind by allowing her to rally and enjoy life and you and your daughter to have the joy of seeing that happen.

It is sad that sometimes no matter what we do we lose the battle. You cared for her with a big heart and total commitment to doing right by her.

Seconding Spotted's message: DOUBLE DOOM on the lower life form who let her get in this condition in the first place.

I hope you can get their ID from the feed store and take them down.

Wishing you peace.
JJ

Condolences, jeaucamon, I am so sorry. Am glad that poor, sick, abandoned hen experienced the gift and comfort of your loving care. Bless your heart.

I'm so sorry...you tried SO hard, you must be devastated. She's in a happier place with memories of how comfortable you made her before she left you...bless you.
