I just told my daughter to steal a sick rooster!!! Pic Heavy!!!

Jeaucamom - First I want to send my sympathies but also congratulate both you and your daughter for the heroic attempt you took to try to save an abandoned chicken. You did a great job - I know what it is to panic.

I do think something good will come of it. That chicken and everyone who jumped in to help demonstrated how BYC needs an emergency troubleshooting list with some basic first aid advice.

i agree with everyone in that you and your daughter did what you did for her out of kindness and respect to a living creature who didn't receive it prior. You are so to be commended on every action you took to try to save the poor sweet soul that you did. She recieved more love out of you these past few days than in her entire life. She died with dignity! She was in your loving and compssionate arms and with the warmth of your love she was guided home!

My mother always told me people come into our lives for a reason, however, I feel everything happens in our lives for a reason. You and Tira learned and loved alot in the process and there isn't anything in this world that means more than lifes experiences and lessons.

I sorry for your loss and I hope you continue to be the humanitrian that you are.

So sorry to hear that she didn't make it. At least she had care and warmth and comfort for her last few days - which is more than she'd have if left in that feed store hutch.

My sincere sympathies to you!

I am sooooo sorry to read this update.

She had so many obstacles to overcome but she crossed over the rainbow bridge knowing love and compassion from you and your daughter. It's heartwarming to see the immense amount of love and caring you showed her in her last days.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear she passed. But you both really did such a wonderful and loving effort to help her. Know in your hearts that if it wasn't for your love and attention to her, she would have died alone and cold in an outdoor kennel. With you she had warmth and a loving touch, and was able to pass peacefully in your arms.
God bless you all.
