I love getting double yolkers!

One of our RIRs gives us 2 or 3 of these babies a week. They are such a nice surprise.

She is 9 months old. Anyone know if she'll continue laying these or will she eventually stop giving us 2 or 3 a week?

That's huge!!! I understand that they will usually lay double yolkers at the beginning of lay, then they usually stop. Lucky you though, getting so many now!

Yikes! That is one big egg! Usually as the hen ages things settle down in her egg making equipment and she'll start laying a single yolk egg.

Very nice prize! We haven't had any double yokers yet but there's still no comparison from fresh to store bought eggs; even Egglands best cage free don't taste half as good.

2 of minds are laying them everyday... I mean its just crazy how that big ole eggs comes out of them

And no there are no small eggs in this pic , it is medium, large, jumbo and super size LOL



I mean seriously.... How does that come out of her ... she be screaming Like someone is Killing her
