What do you suppose a blue roo out of Thor would get me if I crossed it with a Light Brahma??? Might have some interesting possibilities there, yes? Or with BR? Hmmmmm....I just gotta have a ROO TOO!!!

Serrin - once I get moved and settled, I will donate eggs for your bator. I am planning on crossing Thor with my Splash Cochin and hoping for a big fluffy feather legged and footed splash CoOrps

But I will have eggs from him and Athena, my blue orp girl.

Funny thing about the Lt Brahma....Cyn has tried with Suede (Thor's blue daddy) and Miranda (Cyn's Lt Brahma) the eggs are fertile but they never fully develop or never start to develop. It would be interesting to see if a Suede offspring could cross with a LB. Ask Cyn about it...she is better in the breeding knowledge than me by far.

I do have Glenda, whose mama is a Buff Brahma and whose daddy is Suede. The girls are solid black or blue with lightly feathered legs (usually) and the males are black or blue with lots of buff/gold in their wings and hackles. They are HUGE cockerels, too. Glenda really looks like a black Brahma, has a decent pea comb, is very sweet and a good broody. She's larger than her mama, Caroline. Wish Miranda and Suede's chemistries were compatible.

Thor was so sweet this morning...I was reaching in his little coop to check the waterer and he rushed over and rubbed his out against my the side of my hand and said "bruuuuuuurrrrrrr" in his deeply little manly voice. So, needless to say, it took me 30 minutes to get out of his coop and go on to the other three. I had to play with Fattie and Cannonball and even Athena with Thor sitting on my knee.
