I love October!

The chickens are tucked into the barn. The geese are nestled into their pen.The sun is going down and has back lit the trees which are in flame red aond gold. I have stuffed peppers and baked apples in the oven. My garden is covered up in case it frosts tonight. I made a fire in the fireplace and have poured a glass of wine. With all of the troubles in the world life still can be good! Contented for now and hope the same for all of you!

Let us not forget, the kids are back in school, and the holidays are far enough in the future to not cause the stress, and close enuff to be excited!

I love October too. Today's my father's 51st birthday

Fall is officially here. It's 55 and windy as heck. Time to winter wardrobe shop, for sure!

Here's a photo of a maple tree out back. I can't wait until the pinecones fall, the kids want to make bird feeders for the winter birds

October in New England is the best... don't even have to go leaf peeping miles away... just look out my window and WOW!!!

I love it too!

I think today will be our first day that doesn't go over 100 degrees. The hens didn't even stay in the coop all afternoon like they usually do.

Time to plant the winter lawn and the remainder of the winter garden.

Ahh... 94 degrees tomorrow.. .there's a chill in the air!
