"Oh!" said Dog feeling stupid. Then he grabbed a ball of moss and flung it at Dustkit which hit him right in the face.

Finchstripe gave the leader a lick and sprinted to the medicine cat den. She skidded to a stop and took a mouthful of poppy seeds. She ran back and dropped them at Auburnleaf's paws. "Here!" She panted. Then she went to the edge of the clearing and ripped some ferns from the earth. Clamping them tightly in her jaws, she bounded over and said, "Rest on these. You should be more comfortable on them." She settled down next to her and started gently licking her fur. She hoped that this routine act of friendship they shared when they were warriors together would soothe her, even in her pain now as leader.

"Bet you cant hit me!" said Dog dashing behind a tree.

Sheepkit shook herself and put on her bravest face she could muster.
"Hi, D-dog," She stuttered.

Lightkit was intrigued by Ruby and Dog. She approached Ruby tentatively.
"Hi, I'm Lightkit. Did you bring my mom back?"
