I promise... *A warrior cat RP*

(And all caught up)

"We can get you and Fluffypaw a new one," Auburnstar said gently.

"Oh," Auburnstar said. "I am disappointed in them, but there is nothing we can do now. At least Flamepaw isn't alone, she could do something rash."

"Don't worry, we can get her new mentors," Auburnstar repeated.

Dropspring bristled. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Luna, I haven't forgotten what you did.
"Watch out! Rats!" Large rats were following, ready to attack. As they saw the group had multiplied, however, they dissipated.

"Icepaw! It isn't ok to attack another cat!" Auburnleaf shouted.

"Yes!" Auburnleaf said.

"Hi, Softkit," Darkkit's greenish greyish eyes were still forlorn. They were slowly turning from blue to amber over time.

"Icepaw! You didn't listen!" Auburnstar scolded. "You must be punished for this, but you are injured so you cannot do work either. No cat attacks another because the other doesn't have a mentor! Since you are so struck with grief, and your mother is not here, arrest yourself to the apprentice den to think about your actions. Come back tomorrow morning. Sadness is no reason to rip our clan apart."
She turned to where Nightpaw and Fluffypaw left. "Now, Nightpaw and Fluffypaw need mentors. Since this is a sudden warning, I would like to ask for volunteers to mentor them," she adressed the warriors.
Softkit looked over at Darkkit and flopped over, attempting to lay on top of him. "Hi," she mewed.
Silverwing stood up, "I'll volunteer to mentor Nightpaw!" She yowled out with agreement to Fallingrain as well.
"Either way, he needs to think about his actions. He can grieve there too. 'Unfair and cruel' is a word I would use to describe injuring another cat because you are depressed. Sometimes you have to be unfair to be fair."

"Silverwing is now the mentor of Nightpaw!" Auburnstar continued.
Silverwing dipped her head and mewed, "I still agree with Fallingrain."
Nightpaw looked at Silverwing and her ears flipped back. Of course, I have to get her as a mentor. A cat who believes being attacked was my fault simply because Icepaw is her kin.
Moonspots overheard the commotion and decided she needed to chime in.
"No one should claw another cat from the clan, whether they were provoked or not," She remarked. "Both of their actions were not justified. They were selfish and only thought of their own misfortunes."
Appletree jumped to her paws and agreed with Moonspots. "If one is punished, the other should be to!"

Icepaw watched the cats argue and was hurt that he had done something to get himself punished.
"This is justice! Do you say we should punish Nightpaw for this? What did she ever do to provoke it! She said she didn't have a mentor!
No provocation should ever cause a cat attack another, especially a smaller one. Let him be, he'll be fine in the apprentice den. He needs his rest anyways, he shouldn't be on that leg," Auburnstar said.

"Honey," Jadeheart said. "Auburnstar is right, it is Icepaws fault. Maybe I don't agree with punishment, but he can't attack people and other cats not bat an eye. I would do the same for our kits. I don't want them to think they can attack other cats for any reason with no consequences. He is your kin, but they will be our kin."
Fluffypaw looked at the arguing cats and mewed, "Have they not been punished enough? They are both causes of trouble. Icepaw lost his whole family and Nightpaw lost her mentor. they are both unjustified in what was done, they know that."
Nightpaw looked at him, flicking her tail in surprise. "Icepaw shouldn't go unpunished!" She growled. Why is he standing up for Icepaw? I thought he agreed with me!
Fallingrain let out a snarl, "This is not fair, Icepaw and I lost the same thing! He is getting punished for an act of grief, that is unjust."
Moonspots:
"And Nightpaw lost her mentor. That is no less difficult to cope with! Is it not fair to say that Icepaw has the greater problem?"
"His whole family! Not one but 3 cats! That's greater and apprentices grow no closer to their mentors, family wins!"
"In a normal scenario, he would be working from this. No matter the context, a cat must be punished for breaking the code, no if's and's or but's. I am a leader who follows the code and do not take sides," Auburnstar said. "Not following the code cost this clan too much, and that ends now."
Without all that rule breaking, none of this would have happened. Let's see, kittypets as leaders, leaving the leader position, leaving our territory, leaving at night without permission, she didn't even know Rainshadow had tried to pick the deputy without her.
Finchstripe, at the base of Highrock, was listening intently. "The code states that a leader's word is law." She meowed quietly. "No matter if you agree or disagree. Icepaw hurt a clanmate. It doesn't matter if he acted in impulsiveness or grief, it is still wrong to attack a clanmate. I think that this very minor punishment is fair. I will also have a talking-to with Nightpaw." Then she added simply, "And shame on you for challenging your leader. This is a small event that shouldn't cause an uproar in camp." She nodded to herself, and looked out on the cats. Her eyes held the sorrow and love that she shared with her clanmates that every cat could recognize.
Fallingrain growled and mewed, “You’re just as bad as the rest of them. I consider leaving to, seeing how unfair this clan is. Maybe Emberfeather was right to leave you all are just fox hearts. Even you Jadeheart.”
At least I'm not considering leaving my clan over grief. Nightpaw silently spat. Looking around and seeing how many cats thought she deserved to be punished, she realized that she was alone in this clan. Like she had always been.
“A minor punishment and Nightpaw gets off fine! This is because Luna raised him partly isn’t it! You can’t trust any cat related to her in any way anymore because she left! You don’t even trust me!”
Fallingrain looked at Auburnstar, "You're the worst one! Maybe you just can't see sense, because Icepaw is in Luna's family! I hate you and this clan. I love you Jadeheart, I won't leave for you, but I want to."
Lightkit began crying again. Just when last night's trauma had gone away, another argument had to mess up her good mood. When would this dark forest end?
Icepaw stood up and mewed, “I’ll take the punishment if Nightpaw gets punished for provoking me...”
“Right now, she’s punishing a cat who was in grief for his sister and mothers. That’s not just or fair.” Silverwing yowled.
"Hey, I wanna' go too!" Dustkit whined.

"What are we to do? We can't well put her in the apprentice den with you," Auburnstar said. "I suppose someone can make a suggestion?"
Silverwing called up, “Elder duty for a moon!”
“It’s fair, I think egging him on in a moment of grief is enough to deserve punishment.”
"Of course it is. Of course. But she was willing to just walk away from the argument when Icepaw attacked. How about this: After Icepaw has finished his time in the apprentice den, then it will be Nightpaw's turn." She looked around at the cats, hoping they were all satisfied with this answer.
I didn't do anything! Nightpaw internally shouted, but knew it would only make things worst if she said it out loud. She curled her tail around her paws and waited for her punishment.
"I know Dropspring can protect her. He's a strong fighter," Jadeheart soothed.

"No, that is too harsh for a few words. Injuries are punishment enough. All he got was a rest," Auburnstar. "I will not take that suggestion."
"That's a good punishment," Auburnstar.
Nightpaw clawed the ground, but there was nothing she could do. At least it wasn't worst.
Puddlekit rolled her eyes. "Obviously! Im-the-lead-spy!" She yowled quickly before anyone else could call the honorable position.
"You get to spy!" Puddlekit protested, "Its just that I'm lead spy." she said in a lofty tone.
Nightkit hushed the younger kits and mewed, “Stay quiet.”
"You always get to be the lead spy!" He pouted. "I'm the biggest! And the most handsome!" Dustkit flounced his grey fur and white paws. He ran ahead. "You can't lead if I'm in front!" He cried.
Gingerkit hissed, “If that’s how we’re playing I’m lead. I’m older and bigger then both of you.”
Dustkit wrinkled his lip. "You're a girl!"
Puddlekits fur fluffed up with rage. She flexed her claws. She bared her teeth. her tail lashed.
Basically, she looked like an angry snowball.
Puddlekit got surprisingly dangerous when she was mad.
Birchrock saw the kits and stomped over. “What are you doing? It’s late, go back to your dens, we’re discussing serious matters. We can play badgers in the morning, I promise.”
"We aren't heeeere," Dustkit said mysteriously.
"How DARE you lead my spies!" She squeaked with rage. Not even heeding Birchrock, she flug herself blindly at Gingerkit and Dustkit.
"I fought off a badger-owl-fox creature single-pawed! can you say the same?" She challenged.
Birchrock chuckled and mewed, “In the morning, off to bed!”
Softkit watched the other kits with interest. She then got off of Darkkit and padded towards the den. "C'mon. We don't want Birchrock to have to herd us." She said playfully, nudging her brother.

Silverwing went over and asked if she could bring Nightpaw to train on the other side of the hollow.

Silverwing trotted over to Nightpaw. “Battle training tomorrow with Fluffypaw, be ready!” She walked away then looked back, “Be lucky Icepaw didn’t do worse.”
Nightpaw watched her with narrowed eyes. Did she just... threaten me? This is just great.

(Did Fluffypaw get a mentor?)
