I promised terrie, but...I got it!

When we married we debated on putting me on his health insurance and decided against it. I have medicare along with part D (prescription drugs) because I am 100% disabled. His insurance isn't that great. He can't get the MRIs he needs done on his shoulders because his insurance is refusing to pay for it.
DH's insurance is very high, even after the city pays in their part, because it's a small department. He will be retiring in April 2010 and then will have to bear the entire costs of his medical insurance by himself. In fact, he is planning on getting a job after he retires just so he can have medical insurance.
I tried to get AARP medicare supplement insurance, since I am an AARP member on DH's membership, but can't until I myself turn 50. If my jeep was paid for I would just buy the drug out of pocket. I've even considered giving up my vehicle so I can afford it.

Looks like I'm just going to have to keep jumping through the hoops that the insurance company demands before they'll pay for the med. I need.
It's not like I haven't dealt with all the medical issues before, but it was so nice that month that I was on the samples and was able to live a normal life again.

They won't help me because I do have insurance, even though the insurance won't pay for their drug.

Have they been specifically told that your insurance will not cover it at all? If they still say no, then ask to speak to the boss of the person who said no. Keep going up the chain with it. Even if they won;t give it to your for free, they may be able to give you coupons for a reduced cost.

At the same time, call your iunsurance company and ask WHY it was the appeal was denied--with that knowledge you can appeal the appeal with some hope of success. One question to get answered is what would have caused a successful appeal.

Also, find out if your state or county has programs for lowered cost medicines. I know our county does.

Dang it's getting late! I gotta go clean house!

Do I still have to clean house if I'm mad at DH?

Nobody can argue via text messages the way I can. I'm the text argument queen!
