I Set 14 Eggs! Hatch along with me!!! *CHICKS R HERE!!!! PICS ADDED!!

Quote:
I opened the air holes right before they pipped to increase air. All hickens must be hatched at 99.5 degrees F. The thermometer that comes with the bator should have it marked. Also, be sure to read the instruction manual that came with the bator. It will tell you everything u need to know about hatching.

Ok thank you very much. I borrowed this bator from my neighboor, then got the instruction manual from my farm supply sstore, and bought the themometer that goes with it, i think. I just put in 12 eggs today and im trying to get the temp correct cause it went down alot when i opened up the bator to put the eggs in.. is that ok? Also did you put water in the resivor right away in the beginning? I am planning on turning the eggs 3 times a day, but what was your process, because it seeems like whenever i open the bator up the temp drops, alot!
thanks!

Its totally ok. The temp may drop up to 10 degrees when u open the bator, but it will quickly increase. Dont open the bator on the first day (24 hrs) though.
