I Think I Just Got RIPPED OFF!

It occurs to me that when I bought "whole" or "half" a hog, I wasn't actually buying ALL of it. Hmmmm. Amend my above statement accordingly.
 
He said he had no way to weigh it live but guessed it to be around 250-275.........that was the guy who actually skinned it.

Then the other guy comes in and hangs the two halves and says 127.5.

I was figuring on at least 65%. There's no way to PROVE anything though and it's already being butchered.

Wonder how much he'll sell MY pork for!!!
 
Well he did not have to weight it live. Shoot the thing, stick him hoist his butt up and weigh him. The most you will lose is a couple pounds of blood while you get it on the scale.

This guy sounds like a twit.

I believe I would be going down there and raising a little h e double toothpicks with him. You can even use a measuring tape on a hog and figure their weight better than that.
 
Look at it this way. If he snatches 40 or 50 lbs of meat from every one he butchers...his house and family is stocked for a year.
 
No.......it's a wholesale Retail that does custom processing. They have a store with tons of smoked meats in the case ready to buy for a real high price.
 
Well that bites. I would be raising all sorts of heck myself. I would do it in his store in front of everyone...even if I did nto get my meat back or satisfaction, everyone in the place would know he was a cheat. but that is me.
