I think I killed my chicks...

So this first pip was there for awhile - then about 5:15 the 2nd mark appeared but no progress since.

So this first pip was there for awhile - then about 5:15 the 2nd mark appeared but no progress since.

Helping too soon is not good so sit on those hands and give it a chance. There's a lot that baby is doing before popping out. Generally you wait about 24 hours after it first pips before you even think about helping. There are veins drying up and yolk to absorb before that baby can safely come out of its shell. :fl
 
My broody has been sitting on some eggs for 5 days or so and she got off her nest for a long time. when I felt the eggs they were as cold as stone. She's back to sitting on them but I don't know what to do. Will they still hatch?

Yes...They will get off the nest during the first while..They need to poop, eat and Drink..As the incubation gets further along she will not want to get off..
