I think I killed my chicks...

Pics
My broody has been sitting on some eggs for 5 days or so and she got off her nest for a long time. when I felt the eggs they were as cold as stone. She's back to sitting on them but I don't know what to do. Will they still hatch?

It's the core temperature that matters and it takes a lot longer to chill the core temperature of the egg and kill the embryo, than just chill the shell. You can candle them when she's having a break to put your mind at ease.

Yes - I have three chicks now and have left the two other eggs in the incubator just in case they hatch - it’s the end of day 22 now. I waited on the third chick and nature took its course - almost gave in, as I was a little anxious from losing the first one.

Oh I'm so pleased! They are so cute! I'd have been so sad for you if you hadn't ended up with any chicks!
