So glad they are found! Here's hoping for the best... I am in no way trying to imply this was your fault at all cause it's obviously not - i have no idea how the PO loses half the stuff they lose, LET ALONE a box full of LOUD peeping chicks - But, I do agree with a couple of the others, I'd hesitate to order from anybody who doesn't offer express as an option. I had some polish shipped to me, and paid double for express, but feel like it's worth it.

My gosh, thats awful!!! I'm really surprised they didn't have a tracking number......really sorry,
maybe there will be a little miracle...some prayers to St Francis may be in order.. praying for ya:fl

All i can think about, is what the chicks had to go through IF they are dead. I feel so sorry for you, but i sm AMAZED they found them! when you got the call, i would have asked if they were peeping and if it sounded like there were 30+ in there. even if they said they didnt hear any, i would be exited. maybe there's one little guy just truckin' on, but is being silent? Well, if i watched my siblings pass, I'd be pretty quiet in a dark box too O.O . I hope they're all okay. UPDATE US WITH THE NEWS! And if oyu get lucky and have a few guys determined to live, give us pics of the babies! i have a 5 week old chick fighting to live right now so i know how you feel. also, when i ordered my chicks, they were late but all fine. so I think yours will be alright too.

Ok, the chicks are home. One was DOA. 4 were limp. I force fed them water with an eyedropper. None of them look bright and shiny. They are not nearly as energetic as the ones I have previously gotten. They were also pecking the dickens out of each other, which is something I have never seen when I opened a box. They were pecking the dead gal and the limp ones. I am not happy.

Having said that, I am thankful that they are alive. Going back out to check on them now.

what an ordeal for the poor babies and you. I think they just wanted out of that box and were so stressed they were pecking each other. Did they have any kind of food or gro gel in with them? Maybe they killed that baby. Hopefully they will do better just being out of the box with some room to move. By my chicken math any and all survivors don't count, so if you get 30 replacements = just 30 chicks.
