Hi all! This is my first post, and I was wondering if I could get some help determining the sex of two of my chickens.
Out of 6 straight run, I had 2 definite girls, and one definite rooster. He did the adolescent chest bumping, then he started to crow. I was able to find a home for him and another suspected roo. But now I've got these two. There are two other VERY dominant roosters in the group, and these two have never crowed, or attempted to crow, but dang, they sure seem pretty macho to me! I got them on April 10, and from what was said, I figured that they were last week's chicks. So they are around 17-18 weeks old.
I identify them as black and white, and mottled brown.
I think I got the pictures uploaded ok, and if you need other pictures, I'll be happy to try to get them to hold still for a snap.
One other thing, they called these Araucanas, but that's horse pucky! They are either Ameraucanas or Easter eggers, but I'll let one of you who knows what they are talking about chime in.
