I tried a new hatchery~!~

they don't claim that ALL will be males....just most likely...wow, what a deal, eh!

from their site:

Make wonderful fryers. Hatchery choice of sex and breed and usually are males.(These are not Cornish Rock.),

right now all they have left are Comet cockerals. i am going to do 100 cornish X with 50 free comets. i will have lots of broilers and fryers...yummy!

That is an amazing bargain. These breeds will make great rangers and keep feed
costs down. It's true they will take longer to mature but we have culled a lot of 12 to
16 week old roos as soup birds and they turn out great.

This thread is just wrong. How dare you tempt us like this.

Good luck with those peepers. Keep us posted.

i'm with Purple Chicken....look what you've done to us...now we all want more chickens....i'm hungry for deep fried chicken....aaaaaaaaaaaaaagggh....not long to wait right?

I thought the girls was a great bonus! They are not going to be huge like a broiler but I knew that going into this. ....Gluttun for punishment that I am ... we are going to look at someones farm today for chicks from them....

Buffs as mine from Ideal are not ideal...

Thanks for starting this thread, you just saved me about $40.00. I was going to order from another hatchery that had the cornish X for $1.20 a bird, well here at Mt. Healthy I can order the same amount for $0.84 per bird. Horay!!!!

This will make my 2 friends happy. We are all going to split the cost of 100 birds.

Thanks again for posting

I'm just wondering, since I'm new at this, what do you do with 200 chicks while you're waiting for them to get big enough to eat? do you have a really large coop, do they even need a coop?
