I was feeling lucky and ordered a “rare breed assortment” from Meyer. Anyone want to try to ID these chicks?

1 and 2 are gold laced Wyandottes. Those are easy.

8, 9 and 15 are most likely either brown Leghorns or Welsummers.

3 looks like a black jersey giant to me.

11 and 17 could be lavender Orpingtons.

The rest I am not sure on because there are several breeds that have chicks with those colors. May have to wait a bit.

Wow y'all are amazing! I thought for sure it would be very difficult it not impossible to ID until 6 weeks at least. Do you think it could be Columbian or Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, I don't think gold laced is on their "rare" list

I have a hard time telling welsummer CCL or speckled sussex apart. I was hoping for CCL or speckled sussex

They will include anything they have too much of. It's possible they are the black laced red version of blue laced red but they are not blr themselves.
