oh i'm still checking them out too. never fear... a couple are ahead of the rest. but then i think she stole some eggs over a couple days. she started sitting there were 5 in there, when i realized she was broody there were 11. 2 were clear but also first eggs i think. i think she started sitting somewhere between the 5th and 6th... so i'm saying 6th since those would be the younger eggs. so thats... lockdown on the 24th and hatch by the27th or so. 8) gotta get these guys out of their shells first tho before i can put the young'uns in the hatcher tho.

I set the traps and turn off the light to candle. Before I could even finish candling the five dozen on the agenda, one of the traps snaps! Bingo, a mouse! The place is lousy with them. I hate to poison them in case one of the chickens eats one. So I am slowly whittling back the population.
