I got this as a "barnyard mix".
She had a wide variety of birds, several roosters, then stuck random eggs under a broody. As it's developed, it's changed a lot! 14 weeks now, went from super dark, barely barred. Lightened, but "frayed" feathers. Completely flat comb(not always this red, usually a pinkish color) Now it's getting these random brown feathers. Another mix of mine has the same thing going on(irredesnt feathering, random brown/red feathers) but she's a mix of barbanter and legbar/silkie. I really dont think this one has any of those. Anyways, this one is so friendly and loving - wish I knew so I could have more like her/him(I dont even know gender, some days I think she, others he. No crowing or attempts to crow, acts just like my other ladies. My Rooster leaves it be.)

She's starting to look like a he. He looks an awful lot like a Dominique.. So if you ever want more birds that look just like him I would go with the Dominique.. They have the same barring, and same comb type like yours does.

Thank you! I will have to look more into Dominique's!
