IB silver pied hens and opal silver pied hens

q8.,, Was the split peach in female info learned by experience or did someone tell you that , or maybe split peach male produced a peach hen ??? I am interested on how that would work with sex linked females. thanks connerhills

I thought that in the past, but as i learned later they could be split to peach.

I too am curious if this learned from your own experience. The only way I can think of that this could occur is if you hatched peach males from a hen that was not visually peach, but split to peach. Just wondering.....

Hmmm, since the can of worms is now open,

I am curious too, as I have heard varied opinions on this subject.

The seller said its split peach, he said he is 100% sure its split peach, i don't have any experience at all, i will try to get some pictures for her on Friday, i think i saw some peach color on her wings.

I remember someone here told me they could be some hens split for sex linked colors, i will try to find that thread.

By the way, frenchblackcopper also said he had india blue split peach birds in the past, not sure if only has male split peach or also hens.

I am working on getting myself a split Peach male. I have the Peach hen from Blue Creek and the Peach Pied hen now, but Peach scares me with the genetic problems and I also do not think I could sell Peach feathers, so I am looking at a possible SP split to Peach male. I will have to ask the breeder I'm talking to what he thinks, I've heard both opinions as I said. I know the males can be split to it, just not sure about the hens.

If you could get silver pied male it will be great, so you could get some peach pieds from your pied hen, until now I have seen three peach males in person all of them were healthy and don't have any genetic issues.

This is my india blue male split peach:

I remember him and I liked him, very pretty and I love the little Peach "patches" on his shoulder/s. I like the idea of the Silver Pied Split Peach as well, I am trying to find a new home for my IBSP male, he is pretty, but I have both parents as well as 2 brothers and a sister and I need keep him out of the gene pool and bring in new blood, so a split Peach seemed perfect. I have seen only one Peach male and he is half blind at 2 or 3 years old, and I've heard of several others. My Peach hen actually seems like she may be a bit near sighted in low light, so I will be keeping an eye on her.

Guys, I'm sorry, no one here told me that the hens can split peach, i got confused between this idea and the fact that sex linked colors hens can be split for another color, i'm sorry again.

No need for apologies, I have heard some people theorizing that it is actually possible. And I am no expert on the sex-linked colors, so I just try to gather as much info and opinions as I can.
