Icelandic Chickens

My barnies are the sweetest, most laid back chickens I have ever hatched. I hatched A LOT of males, and didn't have any issues with them temperament wise, other than I had to cull for breeding. After today, I'll finally be down to 1 breeding rooster, and I plan to keep another from hatching to be a back up. They are a beautiful breed, give me great eggs and they are a breed known for going broody and being fantastic mom's.

Congrats! I'm sure you will love them!

Thanks!
I am very excited about them, and added that these are bantams, so DH is happy & allowing me to have them as I have stressed they eat less, make less poop, lay almost as big an egg as a LF..and he is happy with that

Wow, just realized, my Mr beau Spangles I have chosen above all cockerals, is the spitting image of 'Orri' ?

What a gorgeous bird, spangled, and has "it all" going on!!!

I let the Icelandics out of their pen for the first time, and they ''Free ranged'' in the coop, they seem happy to run around and searching for tidbits. I was looking at each roosters, picking out which to keep, and which to rehome. I really need to rehome 5 or 6 roos a.s.a.p! Too many roos in a pen having a spat!

I will tell you right now, to try & make a bachelor pad for the extra cockerals, because each one is spectacular!
And the one you love today may look oogly-doogly to a one you see tomorrow. They can cahnge so much in mere days as they are growing!!
Thanks for your support on the show!
