Bird Guy I gotta tell ya, the wait is well worth it !!

I hope they cant be worn out by looking at because I am sure wearing them out if so, this is a really diverse color assortment, my six were 5 darks and one white. But just at a guess I am thinking its now about half light and half dark, pretty good breakdown, something of most everything. I was trying to look at the shanks for feathering, dont know if its too early to tell or no on that. That is a trait I want to get established in this little flock.

I have at least two crested roos, Blau and Skjotur, both keepers anyhow. Blau has a gorgeous pattern, and Speedy was the first one out of the egg, and is still very active. Now looking for a crested roo out of the lighter colored ones. Issison is on the keep list being out of Lukka and Issi. He is a keeper for sure. Looking at the new guys one can only wonder and wonder at the wonders.

Tomorrow lay out the post holes for the big cedar posts for the run, and hopefully get some set. Much to do while watching these little guys.

Mary that is a very funny sign, gives me an idea for another one.

Busy day here. Since I can't get online I had to work.

Moved chicks around to make more room. I gave away my beautiful broody blue Silkie and her 17 chicks. Of course 3 more of her sisters are sitting on eggs currently.

Jake, I am so happy for you! Glad the chicks arrived safe and sound!

Nice positive thinking Kathy! I am so relieved the birds arrived in good shape. Maybe I'll sleep tonight! We just got out from under a tornado warning here in sunny northern CA! Good grief!

Have a question, is there any thing that marks an Icelandic as an Icelandic, do they ALL have white ears, I know they have different colored legs and different combs! Anything else!!! Lynn

I will upload pictures after I have my satellite repaired and know I can stay online for more than a couple minutes. WildBlue is awful as far as I am concerned. May need to check into Hughesnet.

Don't bother. From what I understand they use the same satellites or something and one is as bad as the other. Wild Blue just sounds cooler than HughesNet.
