I will get pics up tommorow. mom sent me one but its form the top and not very good... Thanks again Warden you rock...

Ok i think i have come up with names for my new additions .. I wanted to do something that honors their Viking heratige and I love the movie these names come from.. Alright the rooster will be called Buliwyf (pron. Bull-vye) and the female will be Wendol. (pron.Vendol).. Anyone guess the movie???

I have no guess on the movie. Just wanted to say thanks for posting and relieving my anxiety about them arriving safely. Hoping to see pics soon. The coloring on your boy is gorgeous. I am looking forward to seeing how the pullet feathers out, especially that little crest. Enjoy your Icelandics guys!

Three weeks have passed so off to move the quarantined quad of juvies into general population. Hope everyone behaves themselves!!!

Ok you guys really need to see the movie... It is The Thirteenth Warrior .. Buliwyf is the Warrior leader of his clan and Wendol is the name of the Dark Goddess.. I really just liked the name Wendol.. LOL

We nearly had a disaster here last night.

It has been hotter than blazes during the day so I had the kids unplug the brooder lamps as it was 100 degrees without them.
I woke up at 5am and thought 'Ahhhhhh, I bet they didnt think to plug them back in at dark'
Ran to the barn in the near dark and its all quiet. My heart is in my throat and my stomach is turning. I reach my hand into the dark brooder and feel a pile of huddled fluff near the light.
Nothing moves. I pull my hand out of the brooder, plug in the light and sure enough, all the little fuzzers are in a ball and no one is moving.
Panic! I reach back in and start grabbing whatever I can get ahold of...tail, wings, legs. Surely something is still alive.

Whew....as little bodies are being hoisted and gently tossed around, eyes begin to open and body parts start to move.

Thankfully everyone is alive and seems ok.

It got down to about 65 in the night so they were pretty chilled. Will keep a close eye on them and make sure that they are doing well.

What an adventure!

Wow, close call. Glad everything is alright.
Is anyone else anxious as I am for Josh to post some picks of his Icelandic pair?
