A few of the yellow chicks I hatched this time have leg and foot feather too. (Psst...don't tell Jake!)

I'd keep the brown one and the hairy yellow ones... That's the most fuzz I've seen on an Icelandic chicks legs/feet!! I definitely vote for giving Lukka a few!!! Remember... chicks don't count in the total....

Not unless it's gay. I only have Icelandic roos except for my juvenile Isbar cockerel who is in a locked, and covered yard. Nope. I assume these are Isi's babies since he has the feathered shanks. I run a tight ship, except when it comes to Stella.

Ok, it looks like a win/win situation. I can send ten chicks to each of my two customers which is just fine. They are only paying for eight. I'll keep the brown baby and the two yellow chicks with feathered legs in my garage for a few weeks until Jake is ready, then I'll ship them to Jake. The deal may not actually go through because what I asked for in return probably isn't going to happen. I want PICS!

This way I won't end up with more birds, I won't have to raise a lone chick, we may all get to see how they turn out, and Jake can get his mad scientist freak on. WIN/WIN!

Edited to add that Lukka can raise her Barnevelder babies up by the house in the broody coop so Kelly can visit. another WIN/WIN!

What she said ,

I want feathered shanks in the flock,

a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do so instead of a TV in the cabin I'll have a Nella Brooder.

Much better shows,

with 2 little kittens to watch them and keep them company.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats !
